That butterfly is a total barfly

Leo was in Venice going to his MooMoo music class with all the other adorable Venice hippies and a man rode by on his bike right in front of us before we went in and Leo pointed right at him and yelled 'BARFLY! BARFLY!" and I said "well, we don't know that for sure--but I'm guessing you're right. He's got that vibe." but then I realized he was yelling 'butterfly". KIDS ARE HILARIOUS.

Now when he points to a few of my bar-fly friends I can tell them he's calling them beautiful evolving butterflies....

Jeff and I had a date night the other day OH MY GOD DOES THAT COST YOU--to be out spending money while you have a babysitter is....challenging. But we had a great time--not to throw our happiness in your face--FACEBOOK STYLE---but we rode our bikes to Venice...stopped at an ale house--watched the freaks then rode to our favorite Sushi restaurant. So fun--LA seemed like an amazing city. Oh my god--I"m trying to write this while Leo is watching Callou. Sweet show...so sweet it sometimes makes me feel violent. Don't worry, I won't act on it. The character of Callou has the most annoying voice especially because I imagine it's being done by a 50 year old woman.

Having Jeff back has been just as I'd hoped...so wonderful. But now suddenly I'm really busy with all the things I was putting off until he got there. A lot of writing projects. Trying to get some TV shows going--a book--and some plays.

Jeff is the superstar dad..he comes home with stories about all the women on the playground so IMPRESSED by his hands on attentive parenting. (RE:not texting while watching Leo) and he's been coming home with the same stories of the not sharing virus that seems to be spreading in Santa Monica. It will be hours after he's gotten home from the playground with Leo and he'll still be obsessing--suddenly blurting out "OH IT'S MAX'S BALL IS IT? WELL GUESS WHAT..MAS HAS LEO'S BALL BUT WE'RE LETTING YOU PLAY WITH THAT BUT I GUESS IT'S A DOUBLE STANDARD IN MAX'S WORLD" etc etc I so know his pain. And I'm sorry that the non sharing monster on the playground was named Max--no reflection on our nephew--the sweet and wonderful Max.
Speaking of nephews---WE HAVE ANOTHER ONE!!! Miles! The cutest most adorable looking newborn....Jessica and Ken are the proud parents. I'm gonna send him a ginsu knife set to welcome him to the world.

Leo is a chattering little surfer looking kid.
When you ask him what his name is he says "name'...usually. But today he finally said his name. Though I think it would be very LA celebrity to name him Name. I wish I would have thought of that.
