HAVE I LOST MY BLOG ZEST?

sometimes. and I worry that all my news about Leo is just the same 'he's so cute...he's so cute". wait..I thought about something that's not cute-how we are letting him watch a DVD in restaurants whenever we go to a nicer place and didnt get a babysitter. That's a bad thing to do, right? It's like arson or vandalism. We do it every few weeks or less but the times we've done it I've been a nervous wreck as I look around the restaurant seeing all these families with their kids playing with scraps of paper or their napkins. While Leo looks like DJ about to spin some records with huge panda headphones on and a little DVD player. I make him watch my first season on HUNG. "you were in Momma's tummy!"

I don't think it's right but it usually a night when Jeff and I feel like we have to get out a little or we're going to start to hate the sight of each others face and teeth and hair. and feet. Basically just start hating...and to bring the love back we eat out. At a certain point we have to stop it though-the DVD. And switch to an Ipad. That's way better.

Jeff and I are doing a diet/cleanse thing this week. No bread and dairy and sugar. So far I have stomach cramps. So it's working! Maybe it's not cramps from lack of sugar--maybe i'm pregnant. I just watched an episode of "i didn't know I was pregnant" and the lady on the show had a bad cramp and then looked down and 'there was a baby in my sweat pants".

Leo is saying his ABC's. he counts to 20. He talks a lot and I can kind of figure out what he's saying. I know that his ABC and counting thing is a sign of NOTHING. I mean I watch documentaries about addicts and their mothers are always like "he was such a bright little boy..and then..." so I'm not cocky but I do love watching him grow and change and ask "What's that?" about everything. I love it the most when he points to a person and says "What's that?" and I get to answer in a voice loud enough for the person he's pointing at to listen.

Leo wakes up and says "I threw up!" because it got such a reaction in New Mexico when he did actually throw up in the night after eating a giant sugar cookie. He wakes up--lies about throwing up and then plays and plays and requests for music to be put on and for books to be read to him and to go to the beach. He's got the life of a retiree and it's awesome.
