Never say anything outloud...

Yesterday I was bragging how I didn't miss Jeff because I'd been keeping so busy and having such a great time with all my friends coming to visit....and now. Monday. Today nobody is coming over because I'm taking Leo to the doctor for his 6 month check up and another round of vaccinations. They don't show movies at the doctors office so I didn't know how to sell it to one of my gay boyfriends to convince them how fun it would be. And rarely do you see a man with his shirt off---just babies and toddlers. Which-contrary to what some believe-my friends aren't in to.

So--today I've felt really sad. I've been on-line looking at non-cry it out methods and I don't want to do the Cry It Out Thing. Even though everyone we know swears by it. I get that it's probably me that can't handle it--but so be it. It takes about 40 minutes to get Leo to sleep and really I don't have that much else going on. I don't mind it.

Now-when Jeff comes back and kicks Leo out of bed again--and when Zach is gone and Leo can have his own room...we'll see. I know it will be harder. I know that.

Anyway--my point of writing was to say that suddenly I'm depressed and really missing Jeff. I'm guessing he's out at sea because we haven't heard from him in a few days.

I feel like a sad Army housewife. I have a huge swell of empathy for those women now. I'm depressed knowing that Leo has to get a vaccination too. Big fun. And Zach isn't here to boss around today. I started realizing that this blog is the closest thing I have to a baby book-so I wanted to document that today I missed Jeff.
