OH MY GOD

He keeps screaming and collapsing on the ground. SCREAMING. What the hell? What did Jeff do to him? He doesn't do it constantly---but he did it twice today. That was enough. The first time I understood--he didn't want to share a swing. He hadn't been on it that long when a line formed and I was trying to show off (that's my parenting style) to the other mothers how I could make my kid share....all I had to do was narrate the process like my friend who goes to 2 toddler groups told me. Just SPLAIN IT to him. But it didn't work and I had to lift his limp screaming body out of the swing while the other mothers gave me "I'm sorry" fake frowns and shoved their kids in the now empty swing. He was high strung today. All day. If you asked him if he wanted a spoon he'd SCREAM 'YA!!" and then loudly grunt for everything he wanted. There was a lot of just random jumping and kicking into the air. Maybe he can sense we're about to be uprooted for a good 6 weeks. It's been a while since our Portland time--and that was fun and hard. Mostly hard because of the sleeping in the same room with him. That sucked then I can't imagine what it's going to be like now. I'm scared he'll wake up and crawl out of his crib and bite me in my sleep. you can't trust that kid!! But don't worry--he'll be fine when we get to Indiana. He's a very considerate house guest. As long there is nothing ugly like sharing that is going to be forced upon him. Please have multiples of everything so he doesn't have to share.
I want to hire a person to negotiate sharing--a mediator. Like in a divorce. But all they do is step in when Leo has to share and they do the negotiating. It takes so much energy.

Zach and his girlfriend came for a visit this past weekend. We've never met her before--all we know is that she's a painter and she's pretty and her name is Mary Moon. Beautiful sweet--deep girl. Very deep...very east coast. Her and Zach seemed pretty good together. I knew that Zach would pay more attention to Leo if Mary was with him so I was happy about that. Until I can teach Leo to gamble I'm not sure Zach is that interested. I'M KIDDING. He loves his little brother. And Leo was all over him. I swear that I heard him say the longest sentence he's ever mumbled--(Leo--not ZAch) he was stroking Zachs face and playing with his hair and he said "I rike the all ray the look at birthday your hair" he really liked his hair. Which is huge again. I miss Zach. At dinner at this Mexican restaurant the waitress said "do you guys have any questions?" and Zach said "what are these TACO things?" it was very funny. ANd I KNOW FUNNY DAMNIT.

okay--I'm going to go eat some more frozen pineapple. I've been doing this cleanse since last tuesday. It's going well except for the two margaritas with dinner the other night.
