We have never been more disgusting

I don't think.  Leo had pink eye and a cough and neither are really gone.  Jeff and I have been hacking and gagging and walking around the house gasping for air for over a month.  Last night we ate dinner and after I'd finished my plate I reached over and grabbed a few stalks of Broccoli from Jeff's plate. I asked him why he ate everything on his plate but the Broccoli and as I'm SWALLOWING he asks me if I think it tastes funny because he felt like it had maybe gone bad.   Then thirty minutes later he throws up "yea, that broccoli was bad."

could things get anymore disgusting up in here?!  I know the answer to that so nevermind.

Jeff went to bed and I stayed up waiting to be sick and  watched a documentary about 'Death with Dignity" on HBO to help the process along.  I didn't get sick but I did watch about 5 people die.  With dignity, which is GREAT but it was intense.  Two of the people who took their own lives in order not to be a declining burden to their families (HINT HINT--I'm kidding..it's not for everyone!) said something about how great it was to be able to do what they were doing right before they passed.  Literally said "if everyone knew how great and easy this was!" Like a little commercial for assisted suicide.  I think because they knew a doc was being made to help other states at least consider the law.   Believe me, they had me at 'dignity" since there has been so little of it here lately.

Finally Jeff is going to the doctor.

As I write this Leo is soaking his foot because he's got a giant splinter in it that he won't let us pull out so we are soaking it and hoping, I guess, that it just plops out.  Right on the rug next to our bronchial viruses and his pink eye.

COME VISIT!

I read a book on writing by Stephan King that says to write 2000 words a day.  I did.  Last week for a day.

So I better go.

One more thing--I spoke with Diane-my birthmother yesterday and she said that she was ready with her comeback to Leo if he calls her fat. She's going to call him 'short'.  Pretty harsh but I think it's fair since he started it.
