POOPING-TYPING--AND COFFEE

All need to be done within the next 5 minutes. Or maybe 10. So I'll dispense with any witty observations...(unless they just happen-I can't always control when one comes up--the muses boss me around) and get down to facts that only a Grandma or Grandpa or Aunt (MAYBE an Uncle) could care about....

We went to the doctor and he has gained his weight back--the goal was to get him back to what his birth weight was. Which was 8 pounds and 3 oz. He weighed that exactly. It reminded me of when I did Weight Watchers and I had a weigh-in. Except instead of me taking off my earrings and socks to weigh less--I was wanting Leo to hold a rock in his mouth or something to weigh more. But he was good....and the doctor gave us a good report and he doesn't go back until the 2 month mark. Every one of our concerns--the wheezing for example--was met with 'totally normal".

Why is this font blue? I don't have time to figure that out. Or to wipe up the coffee that just spilled on the floor.

So Leo gained a pound and I lost over 30 in the first two weeks--in pee and sweat and baby.

This last week I only had one day where I sobbed every time Leo cried. The next day I felt better--so I know it's the hormones and the intensity of the whole 'dear god, where did that person come from' reality shock.

Zach is home--he got back on Sunday night-late. We all went and picked him up from the airport. When Jeff and I spotted him in front of baggage claim we were like 'my god, he's a man'. The sweetness of when he held Leo for the first time was so much I had to start walking around and tidying up the apartment...and we know he loves him because he's been doing the thing that people do when they love somebody--taking pictures of him on his cell phone.

And last night--at 1am there was a knock on the door and I was like 'oh my god, Zach has already forgotten his key--first night. " and it turns out that Jeff gave him the wrong key. so things are shifting....

This hat is too big for Leo but we make him wear it anyway--to scare away the squirrels when we're on walks.

Leo is always trying to get into my shirt.
My hair is sooo greasy--I haven't washed it since Leo was born. It's an old Tibetan custom..I can't wash until his umbilical cord falls off or else he'll grow up to be an actor. It's not grease, by the way, it is wet hair.
And here is a brief moment where Jeff accidentally hit the video button instead of the photo button..
