Yet ANOTHER fun Portland thing for kids

Today-our last day in Portland--Leo and I went to this place that I'd heard about called SkyHigh something or other. It's a trampoline play space. A huge warehouse of a trampoline place and on monday mornings they have the toddler jump time. FUN. He and I were both sweating. And like an idiot I only put on his jog bra and forgot mine. As the bigger kids started taking over it started to feel a little chuck-e-cheeses but before that it was lovely. They play kids music and kids jump around and throw balls and there's this pit of foam that you can jump into. it's like jumping into a big vat of asbestos. but softer.

I spent 2 bucks trying to win Leo a stuffed animal from one of those things where you have to control the claw and it reaches down and grabs a stuffed animal. It was 50 cents a try. I kept screaming 'RIGGED!!! IT'S RIGGED!" until a girl who worked there came over and assured me that someone wins all the time. Right after she told me that I got one. So it's all in the mind...

I'm all packed up. Tonight I pack the car after Leo goes to sleep. I don't even bother making small talk in the elevators or complimenting peoples dogs.....I'm already gone.

it's a bit odd and sad to think of not doing the show now.

Jeff called and I missed the call. It's hard because I have a creditor who calls form a blocked number who I avoid and Jeff comes up as Private number too. (the creditor is from an old debt with Michael--who is now a fancy successful bar owner--I should hit him up damnit. I'M KIDDING. I'll just post on his facebook page that I'd love that 3 thousand dollars now) Anyway---Jeff sounded just like he sounded last summer after a few weeks of fishing--completely different. I'd forgotten about that. His voice sounds calm and weary and powerful. And salty. He left a short message "things are going really really well. Much better than last summer so far". YAY.
